Internet Access in Merrow (June 2011)   You may have noticed increased BT activity around Merrow with the mushrooming of more green roadside cabinets. These works are to provide BT's somewhat faster "Infinity" "Fibre-To-The-Cabinet" broadband services.   Firstly if you already have a Virgin Media service you can ignore the rest of this note. Virgin's services are usually significantly faster and their premium service is just being increased from 50 Mbps to 100 Mbps.   Secondly if you are content with your broadband service supplied over a BT telephone line you can continue using it. However if you are looking for a faster BT service you might like to look here to see if your line is to be Infinity enabled:- http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=29017  Please fill in your BT telephone number in the box at the centre of the page. If you have any difficulty I'd be pleased to help if you e-mail me your phone number.  Some BT users will not be able to obtain the faster service as BT are not enabling every one of their green cabinets in our area. E.g.:- Cabinet 1 in Merrow Croft, Cabinet 43 in Trodds Lane which may affect those in adjoining roads, part of the Paddock and the final section of Epsom Road near the church hall.
